What is the Multicultural Hub?
The City of Melbourne's Multicultural Hub is like a neighbourhood house; a friendly place where people from Melbourne's many different cultures can get together and work, share and learn in a safe and supportive environment.
The Multicultural Hub Offers
- A central meeting space - rooms for 10-100 people
- Commercial grade community kitchen
- Subsidised rates for community groups and not for profits
- Disability access
- Open to general public:9am-5pm Monday to Friday. After hours and weekend bookings welcome
- Activities for individuals and community groups
The Multicultural Hub is owned by the City of Melbourne and is managed by AMES Australia.
Events and Activities at The Hub
Multicultural Hub is a place for community to connect with each other and get information about living in Melbourne. You can ask our staff and volunteers about:
- information translated in your preferred language
- Council services
- community events and activities
- community meeting spaces
- English classes
- transport around the city
- employment programs
- settlement support
- housing providers
- meal services
- Gig Workers’ Hub for delivery and rideshare workers and more.

In partnership the Hub host events celebrating Melbourne’s cultural diversity. Look out for Cultural Diversity week events, Taste the Difference, Luminous Lantern Festival and more.
How to book
The Hub has a range of rooms for hire that are suitable for various events and activities including general office administration.
Fill in the booking form and return it to us. Your booking is not secured until we have confirmed it in writing.
